Simple Half Guard Escape

99% of what you see done by a professional fighter are just the basics… performed VERY well by someone  who has drilled them countless times.

Since I’m a big believer that strong basics are what makes for great fighters, here’s a strong basic 1/2 guard pass…

 

  • • Avoid being flat on your back
  • • Go under opponent’s arm
  • • Hook his leg, pull back
  • • Up to knees, wrap waist
  • • Head tight to body
  • • Grab opposite ankle & knee with your hands
  • • Drive with shoulder
