Meet Your Instructor – James Brasco

Your instructor for this online training is James Brasco. An elite-level grappler, James is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, NCAA Division 1 Wrestler and an experienced Mixed Martial Arts cage fighter.

brasco1James became a high level competitor in folk style and freestyle wrestling when in high school, finishing 2nd in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association championships. He then became the Cadet National Age Group Freestyle Champion open division AAU Grand national champion, having his name mentioned in the USA Wrestling Hall of Fame. He finished his high school career with an outstanding 127-10 record.

James pursued his through college, earning a Division 1 scholarship. He won 3 Eastern Regional Championships and qualified for the NCAA tournament on all 3 of those years, earning over a 100 wins, becoming a member of the Elitist Century Club for wins on the division 1 level.

James later set his sights on becoming one of the submission grappling elite. He moved to Florida and earned his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under the legendary Pablo Papovitch. He has competed at the highest level in submission grappling, and is a veteran of many mixed martial arts cage fights.
